Rystad Energy has launched an integration with Microsoft 365 Copilot, allowing clients to access its data and analysis directly within Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. The collaboration uses AskRystad, Rystad Energy’s in-house artificial intelligence tool, to bring its Analytics content into everyday workflows, enabling faster turnaround, fewer handoffs, and more consistent data use across organizations. The integration is built on Model Context Protocol (MCP), which Rystad Energy describes as one of the first of its kind in the energy industry, offering a more direct and structured path between Copilot and its content compared to older approaches. Users can query within Copilot, refine output with further prompting, and move to the next task without opening the Client Portal or Cube Browser. Rystad Energy also recently launched Spektra, its next-generation market intelligence platform, and will host RE:Innovate on 20 August to showcase the new AI-native platform.
