A spoof ad from Belgian AI startup AiCandy, imagining a 2036 where humans power AI through group workouts, has gone viral. The video features AI-aged versions of Sam Altman, Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos promoting a company called "Energym," which uses human cycling and rowing classes to generate energy. In the ad, AI Elon Musk states that by 2030, 80% of humans had lost their jobs, leaving them with no money or purpose but "a lot of time on their hands." The Instagram Reel has over 4 million views, and reposts on X include one with nearly 2 million views. AiCandy founders Hans Buyse and Jan De Loore told Business Insider they were thrilled with the reach, though Buyse criticized reposters for profiting off the video. The duo founded their AI video company in 2025. Buyse said the idea combined the fitness hype with young men who "don't know what to do anymore with their lives." The founders now have an inbox filled with collaboration requests and a job offer from the Dor Brothers.
