Apple has released the second public beta for macOS 27 Golden Gate, bringing further refinements to Apple Intelligence features and system tools. The update introduces enhancements to Siri AI, smarter system operations, performance improvements, and refinements to the Liquid Glass interface ahead of a stable release expected later this year. The second public beta follows the first public preview released earlier this month and aligns closely with the latest developer beta. While no major redesign has been introduced, the update expands Apple Intelligence's capabilities and polishes features announced at WWDC 2026, along with bug fixes and stability improvements. The beta is available through Apple's Beta Software Program for eligible Apple Silicon-powered Macs. Apple advises users that beta software may contain bugs and recommends a complete backup before installation, suggesting beta versions be installed on secondary devices. Key additions include further integration of Siri AI across the operating system for conversational interaction and system-level tasks, and AI-powered tools across native apps. Improvements to Photos include Spatial Reframing, which lets users adjust image composition with AI. The Liquid Glass interface has been refined with adjusted transparency levels and a dedicated opacity slider. Apple has also made changes aimed at improving overall responsiveness.
