Google announced a major update to Google Slides that lets users create full, multi-slide presentations using Gemini directly within the application. The new integration builds fully native, editable presentations from a single prompt. Users can modify their presentation by attaching multiple reference files from Google Drive, or attach an existing deck as a style and design reference. During creation, Gemini will suggest relevant files, emails, and chats to enrich the content. Before slides are generated, the tool presents an interactive outline for review, allowing users to answer follow-up questions to refine tone, style, content, and target audience. The feature is currently launching for both Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains, with initial support exclusively in English.
