Shifters, an Israeli startup founded in 2023 by Ofer Ballin and Assaf Chaprak, develops teams of AI-based autonomous robots to enter dangerous areas before human forces, operating under the slogan "Steel Before Flesh." Earlier this month, the company raised $10.2 million in a seed round led by Ace Capital Partners, with participation from Aurelius Capital Management, Corner Ventures, Arkin Capital, STEP World, and Fresh Fund, bringing total investment to $15 million. The company's first significant public exposure came at the Eurosatory exhibition in France two weeks ago, where Chaprak reported "massive, immense interest" from armies, OEMs, integrators, and distributors worldwide. Chaprak explained that Shifters focuses on transitioning from a One-to-One or Many-to-One model to a state of One-to-Many, delivering technologies that connect into autonomous robotic teams performing dangerous missions.
