According to Detector404, reports of ChatGPT malfunctions reached tens of thousands, as reported by RBC. The first complaints began around 5:20 a.m. on July 19, and their number rose sharply within less than an hour. Users reported being unable to load the chat, errors when sending requests, and disruptions in voice mode. OpenAI confirmed the issue, listing the incident as a “Partial Outage” on its official status page. The company stated that specialists were investigating the causes of increased errors when loading and continuing conversations, and later reported that measures were being taken to restore service, though no timeline was provided. This outage followed a series of technical incidents, including widespread issues with ChatGPT and voice mode on July 15, and on July 18, some enterprise customers encountered restricted access to the new ChatGPT app without Codex permissions, as well as isolated outages in the Codex service. OpenAI said all of these incidents were subsequently resolved. As of this writing, OpenAI was continuing to monitor the situation and restore stable service.
