A symposium titled "AI: Beyond the Buzz" has been announced for the Alumni of Evangelical Christian Union of the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Oyo State, Nigeria. The event features a three-man panel of globally renowned pioneers: Prof. Chris Imafidon, an award-winning AI pioneer and tech governance veteran, who will deliver the central keynote address on AI history and governance; Isaac Udotong, an ex-NASA Systems Engineer and CEO of ISATONG.ai, who will speak on resilience and complex systems engineering; and Sam Udotong, a tech billionaire and Co-Founder/CTO of Fireflies.ai, who will share insights on scaling proprietary AI models and navigating venture capital. The symposium is structured around high-level, practical architecture, deep-tech scaling, and governance frameworks, focusing on moving from algorithmic origins to the future of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and deploying and scaling large-scale AI systems.
