The next Experience Abstraction update will introduce a major AI overhaul for Caine, upgrading the character with interactive dialogue, new animations, and head-tracking that follows nearby players. A new abstraction rescue method is planned to give players another way to save abstracted teammates and interrupt abstractions, expanding cooperative gameplay. Doorbells will become functional and can interrupt players during abstraction sequences. A new Keyholder mechanic will temporarily grant room access to one randomly selected player. Several new locations are in development, including a café as a new social area in the lobby, an aquarium for top-ranked players, and a bathroom connected to the sanity mechanic. Secret areas are teased, with office exits and hidden emotes possibly arriving later. The developers noted that unfinished content could be delayed until a future release.
