The device is pitched as a human-like companion for the home, capable of controlling other smart devices on the same Wi-Fi network and featuring a camera to enhance functionality. Jony Ive, Apple’s former Chief Design Officer, is collaborating with OpenAI on the project, and the new product sounds remarkably similar to an existing device from his old company.
