In July 2026, the Russian company Cognitive Pilot, a joint venture between Sber and Cognitive Technologies, plans to test self-propelled robotic utility machines on the streets of St. Petersburg. The robot utility worker is equipped with 4 video cameras, 2 lidars, and 2 radars, and does not depend on satellite system signals or electronic warfare systems. Its key characteristics include a length of 2.7 m, width of 1.4 m, and height of 1.6 m, with a solid body and no cabin. Cognitive Pilot plans for the robots to clean public transport stops and tram tracks in test mode, and with attachments, the machine can mow grass, spray, and water plants in flowerbeds.
