EHS Insight, a leading EHS and ESG management platform, announced the launch of its Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration, making it the first EHS platform to connect live program data to Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI), and Microsoft Copilot through the open MCP standard. Safety and compliance teams can now query their EHS program in plain language from the AI assistant they use, receiving answers drawn from live, permissioned EHS Insight data in real time. Setup takes under one minute and requires no IT involvement. The MCP Connector extends the platform’s existing AI architecture—which includes task assistant AI embedded in workflows and analytical AI for searching and reporting—outward, bringing live EHS data into the AI tools where users are already working. Users connect EHS Insight as a data source in their AI tool of choice, authenticate with their existing EHS Insight credentials, and begin querying immediately, with the AI seeing only what the user is authorized to see. Example queries include “Find any incident where the injured person was observed on a work observation within the two weeks before their injury” and “Draft our OSHA 300A summary for this year.” Eric Stevens, Chief Technology Officer at EHS Insight, stated that MCP is how the company closed the gap of asking users to leave their AI environment for EHS questions.
