The workflow to keep them in sync begins by locking the character and world reference before drawing a single panel, generating the sequence with a tool built to keep panels consistent, and treating the approved board as a locked artifact the video model must match. A traditional storyboard is a communication tool for a crew that already shares context, but an AI video model carries none of that, starting from zero on every generation call. A usable AI-native panel must contain the character’s face and wardrobe as a real reference image, the color and direction of the light, the physical dimensions of the space, and the shot type and camera position. A general image generator can break continuity before the video model runs, as tools like Midjourneys and Kreas are excellent at one striking image per prompt but are not built to hold a face, costume, or room identical across eight separate calls.
