Between May 2025 and April 2026, 9,531 AI tools generated 144.5 billion web visits, a 40.12% increase year over year, accounting for 4.20% of all tracked web traffic compared to 3.44 trillion visits across 10,173 major websites. The top 100 AI tools alone generated 129.6 billion visits, representing 89.69% of all AI tool visits and growing 49.94% year over year, significantly outpacing the wider market. ChatGPT led with 64.7 billion visits, comprising 44.76% of the entire AI tools market and 49.92% of top 100 traffic, more than six times the 10.5 billion visits of second-ranked Canva. ChatGPT added 26.6 billion web visits, growing 69.80% year over year, while Gemini added 5.6 billion visits with 450.33% growth, and Claude added 2.4 billion visits.
