External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held bilateral talks with Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi in Muscat on July 10, reviewing the full spectrum of the strategic partnership and exchanging views on regional and global issues. The ministers discussed trade, investments, connectivity, maritime, technology, defence, and cyber and AI domains. Jaishankar conveyed India's appreciation for Oman's prompt assistance to Indian seafarers during recent regional developments. He also interacted with the Indian community in Oman. Jaishankar is on an official visit to Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman from July 5 to July 10, with the visit providing an opportunity to ascertain views on the evolving situation in West Asia following a ceasefire between the US and Iran, in which both Qatar and Oman played a significant role.
