IBM has joined OpenAI's top-tier "Elite Partner" program, signing a strategic partnership to integrate OpenAI's latest models into its consulting platform and establishing a dedicated organization of thousands. On the 13th (local time), IBM announced it would integrate OpenAI's latest language model "GPT-5.6," development tool "Codex," and workplace solution "ChatGPT Work" into its enterprise consulting platform "IBM Consulting Advantage." This will enable enterprise customers to leverage AI across core business functions including finance, procurement, customer operations, and human resources. The two companies plan to jointly develop and launch AI solutions tailored to key industries including financial services, government and telecommunications, and retail. Security collaboration will also be strengthened, with IBM's autonomous security services combined with OpenAI's capabilities, and IBM participating in OpenAI's "Daybreak Cyber Partner Program." IBM is launching "OpenAI Practice," a dedicated organization comprised of thousands of consultants and engineers who have completed certification training through OpenAI's partner network. IBM will also deploy "Forward Deployed Engineers" who work on-site with clients.
