Representatives from AI short comic drama companies and other industry stakeholders gathered in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin on June 15 to exchange views on the future of digital content creation, including industry trends, technology applications, business development, and resource matching. An exchange event focusing on AI-powered comic dramas was held at the Service Centre for Economy and Trade between China and Portuguese/Spanish-speaking Countries, bringing together government officials and industry representatives to discuss AIGC content development. AI short comic dramas combine AI, comic-style visuals, and narrative storytelling, improving production efficiency and showing potential in content creation and overseas distribution. The event was co-hosted by the Hengqin Guidance Fund, the Service Centre, and Volcano Engine, ByteDance's cloud service platform. The cooperation zone will continue to improve its industrial ecosystem, focusing on content creation, technology enablement, computing support, and global distribution, and has recently introduced a package of support measures for the short-drama sector to foster sustainable growth.
