SK Group is building a large-scale AI infrastructure partnership network with NVIDIA, Microsoft (MS), Anthropic, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). On the 24th, local time, SK Group and NVIDIA signed a letter of intent worth more than $500 billion, or about 731 trillion won, at the San Francisco AI Summit in San Francisco, the United States. SK hynix and NVIDIA will jointly develop next-generation AI memory, including high-bandwidth memory (HBM), and move ahead with long-term supply cooperation. SK Telecom plans to introduce NVIDIA's AI computing system, Rubin, and build and operate an AI Factory with capacity of up to 2 gigawatts (GW) starting in 2027. SK hynix's HBM4 will be installed in Rubin. SK Group will also pursue $250 billion in AI infrastructure cooperation with other big tech companies. SK hynix is seeking a long-term memory supply partnership with Microsoft, agreeing to supply server memory optimized for AI workloads to Microsoft's data centers over the medium to long term. SK Telecom plans to work with Anthropic on a GW-scale AI data center project in South Korea, with Anthropic expected to participate in facilities such as the Ulsan data center that SK Telecom is building with AWS.
