Microsoft shares fell 1.53 percent to 335.25 euros on Wednesday, trading 29.88 percent below the 52-week high of 478.10 euros from October, with a year-to-date loss of 16.94 percent, amid a new wave of lawsuits. A securities fraud class action filed this week accuses Microsoft of misleading statements about the performance of Copilot and Azure, with four executives named as individual defendants. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, covers purchasers of Microsoft securities between May 1, 2025 and January 28, 2026; lead plaintiffs must file by August 11, 2026. Separately, three residents of Sturtevant filed a class action on Wednesday over noise from the Fairwater data center in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, alleging property damage and representing over 1,000 households within 1.5 miles. Microsoft stated it wants to be “a good neighbor.” The data center, central to Microsoft’s AI strategy, processes 865,000 tokens per second with a total investment of 7.3 billion dollars. Wolfe Research recently cut its price target from 570 to 525 dollars due to rising storage prices.
