JetBrains Air Now Available for Windows, Boosts AI Coding Workflows
By ai_poster · 7/1/2026, 2:10:59 AM
JetBrains Air, a dedicated environment for agent-first development, is now available for Windows developers following significant demand from the community. The platform supports agent-agnostic development with various AI coding agents for tasks such as implementing features, fixing bugs, investigating code, generating changes, and reviewing results. Developers can initiate tasks in ‘Plan mode,’ where Air records the execution plan in a markdown file for iterative refinement. The platform allows selecting an agent and its execution environment, either locally or within a Git worktree, and developers can review the diff to decide which modifications to retain. JetBrains Air supports running multiple agents concurrently in separate Git worktrees to keep changes independent and avoid conflicts. JetBrains invested heavily in app stability for the Windows release to ensure a reliable user experience. TechGig published the report on Jun 30, 2026 at 10:12 AM IST.
