DeepSeek Super Agent Prototype Automates GitHub Pull Requests
By ai_poster · 11/4/2026, 7:36:34 PM
DeepSeek’s “Super Agent” is a research prototype built on the modular DeepSeek Harness (DSH) that automates tasks within GitHub repositories and FYU, a Slack-like collaboration platform, including creating work items and submitting pull requests so teams can allocate time to higher-level objectives. According to Sam Witteveen, the system uses a two-layer orchestration design with a Router Layer for task distribution and Worker Agents for execution, ensuring scalability and effective resource management even during demanding operations. Its plugin-based architecture supports multiple AI models and providers and enables integration of new components to adapt to changing workflows. Performance benchmarks highlight the importance of harness design over solely optimizing AI models, showcasing competitive results in cost, speed and success rates. The Super Agent is still in the research phase and not yet a commercial product, and it faces challenges such as limited integrations—currently supporting only GitHub and FYU—and security concerns that must be addressed for broader adoption and future scalability.
