Mumbai-born entrepreneur Dhravya Shah, aged 19, has raised $3 million in seed funding for his AI startup Supermemory, which focuses on solving persistent memory challenges for modern AI systems. Shah began his entrepreneurial journey by selling his first company at the age of 16. Supermemory started as a hackathon project in 2024, initially launched as a consumer-focused "second brain" application that quickly gained traction in the open-source community, crossing 10,000 GitHub stars within a short period. The early popularity attracted interest from startups seeking long-term memory capabilities for their AI products. According to Solofounders, Shah realised the larger opportunity lay in building infrastructure for developers, leading Supermemory to evolve into a platform providing memory systems for AI applications. Before launching Supermemory, Shah had built and released more than 15 open-source projects from his college dorm room, including a personal context collector that became the foundation for Supermemory's current product, which he made freely available instead of monetising.
