Michael Caine's AI clone has voiced an audiobook version of Homer's *The Odyssey* for ElevenLabs, the AI audio company that counts Matthew McConaughey among its investors. The adaptation, which includes a full cast of other AI voices and music, is available for free on the ElevenReader. Caine partnered with ElevenLabs last year to clone his voice, and the replica is used in the 13-hour “cinematic” production, which took six-weeks to produce. “The Odyssey is one of the greatest stories ever told,” Caine said, adding that the project bridges “classical storytelling with digital innovation.” Jack McDermott, a growth leader at ElevenLabs, stated the production combines “human creativity with the latest AI production capabilities.” Dustin Blank, who works in partnerships at ElevenLabs, said the company wanted to make “the original epic more accessible than ever” and hopes it “introduces a new generation of listeners to this timeless epic.”
