The company said its goal has always been to power new formats for users to interact with their favorite characters, stories, and communities, and that while leading the industry in AI safety, it has focused on building a leading platform for entertainment and fandom, pioneering interactive features like Books, studio-made microdramas in Series, and story-transforming Comics to supercharge user creativity. Addressing its community, Character.ai said the community has made the platform everything it is today and expressed gratitude, adding that users have proven what the power of storytelling can become. The app is still live and online, and the company said it will continue to share more information.
