Amazon AIF-C01 Updates in 2026 You Must Know Before Preparing
By ai_poster · 6/30/2026, 5:44:09 AM
The AWS Certified AI Practitioner (AIF-C01) exam was officially updated in 2026, with a new version released in April 2026. The modification history on the AWS documentation page reveals two versions: Version 1.0 dated March 26, 2026, and Version 1.1 dated April 30, 2026. AWS added whole new objectives, altered existing objectives, enlarged the list of in-scope services, and created new topics. Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Kiro, Strands Agents, and Amazon Aurora are now supported by the exam. New concepts formally included are agentic AI, Model Context Protocol (MCP), context engineering, and hallucination detection. Most preparation platforms, YouTube channels, and third-party practice exam vendors have not updated their content to version 1.1, meaning candidates using older materials are studying approximately 80% of the proper stuff and missing the 20% that can be the difference between passing and failing. Specific new objectives include Objective 2.1.6, which explains basic agentic principles in AI, including multi-agent system archetypes, Model Context Protocol, multi-agent communication archetypes, memory management, tool usage, and workflow orchestration. Objective 2.1.5 introduces context engineering as a notion in FM applications. Objective 5.1.5 covers hallucination detection and grounding approaches (e.g., RAG grounding, output validation, confidence assessment). Objective 3.2.5
