The child of Alexis Vicent, a worker who fell at SpaceXAI's Tulane Road data center, Colossus II, in Memphis, and later died, has sued the companies that own and operate the data centers, court records show. The lawsuit was originally filed in Shelby County Circuit Court on Aug. 11 and moved to federal court on Sept. 11. According to the lawsuit, Vicent was working in the early morning hours of Aug. 15, 2025, on a mezzanine "approximately 25-30 feet off the concrete ground" that was allegedly poorly lit, on his "first day working at this location." Despite wearing fall-prevention equipment, the lawsuit alleged there was no tie-off point for his safety harness, and the mezzanine "completely lacked the requisite guardrail systems, safety net systems, lifeline, a functioning personal fall-arrest anchorage system or adequate warnings." While transitioning between two elevated mezzanines, he fell approximately 25-30 feet to the concrete floor, sustaining catastrophic injuries from which he died on Feb. 26 in Lake County, Florida. The lawsuit said TOSHA investigated and concluded he was not protected from fall hazards; a report dated and concluded on Nov. 20, 2025, noted a $4,500 penalty.
