Lenovo unveiled an FDE certification together with China's electronics industry standards body on Saturday, alongside efforts to prove its AI tools deliver measurable returns. The certification follows the October 22 expansion of Lenovo's AI Library, which now carries validated use cases for enterprise customers; according to the company, organizations can move from experimentation to measurable business outcomes up to 24 times faster than with bespoke implementations, a figure Lenovo describes as its own performance claim. On the consumer side, Lenovo positions its Qira AI platform as a cross-device personal assistant spanning PCs, tablets and Motorola smartphones, blending on-device processing with cloud services and a user-directed context layer to build a personal knowledge base and derive suggestions, supplemented by actions inside supported applications, notification filtering, and meeting transcription and translation. TechNewsWorld sees an opening against Microsoft Copilot, though users must be able to follow how the platform processes their data and control which personal information feeds the assistant. Internally, the Lenovo Knowledge Super Agent supports 3,000 employees and cuts their search time by 30%, according to the company, while quotation creation runs twice as fast. A Futurum survey found 78% of companies expect rising AI budgets over the next twelve months, yet 35% cite infrastructure costs as their main obstacle. Lenovo is also working on a refinancing.
