Applaa AI, created by Raj Muppala, is an Agentic AI learning platform delivering personalized education for SATs, UK GCSEs, and UK A-Levels. It combines adaptive AI tutors, real-world app creation, and personalized learning paths to reduce tutoring costs and improve student outcomes. The platform serves students aged 14–18 preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, SATs, AP, IB, and other university entrance exams, as well as parents seeking an affordable alternative to private tutoring, which can cost £40–£80 per hour. Applaa currently serves over 500 active students each month, with expectations to grow to more than 5,000 active students per month following the new school year beginning in September and partnerships with teaching institutions and schools. The platform is also designed for schools, tutoring centres, and teaching institutions to deliver AI-powered learning at scale. Applaa AI leverages Algolia alongside a custom-built local Agentic AI framework, designed to work completely offline to ensure secure and uninterrupted access without constant internet connectivity. The project was featured in the Proof of Usefulness Hackathon, which offers $150k+ in prizes.
