Anthropic, Macquarie Asset Management and Singaporean sovereign wealth fund GIC announced on Monday a strategic partnership to establish Theseus Infrastructure, a platform that will develop, operate and lease data centers to the artificial intelligence company under long-term agreements. The partners will initially focus on identifying and developing sites in the United States, with Anthropic serving as the anchor tenant, while Macquarie-managed funds will own the platform alongside GIC and provide most of the equity required for each project. Meanwhile, Anthropic pledged to cover the rise in electricity prices that local consumers might otherwise face because of the new facilities.
