Broadcom shares jumped after Apple announced a multi-year agreement expected to exceed $30 billion, leading to the production of more than 15 billion US-made chips. The deal will allow Broadcom to expand and modernize its manufacturing facilities in Fort Collins, Colorado, where it will produce advanced radio frequency components and advanced wireless connectivity technologies. Meanwhile, Nvidia's stock has been under pressure, with its forward price-to-earnings ratio at a low not seen since before the AI boom, June 2019. That move lower comes amid recent investor wariness with AI spending more broadly and as Wall Street assesses rapid stock increases. Additionally, cruise line and airline stocks are taking a hit as oil prices have jumped back up, with fuel costs weighing on these companies amid geopolitical tensions. The re-escalation of conflict between the US and Iran led President Trump to state that the ceasefire agreement was over, though according to Bloomberg, Trump does not think the war in Iran would fully restart.
