Anthropic gives @Claude a permanent seat in your Slack channels

Anthropic has announced Claude Tag, a new product that embeds Claude directly into Slack as a persistent, shared team member, available in beta for Enterprise and Team plan customers. It replaces Anthropic’s existing Claude in Slack app, which debuted in October 2025. In December, Anthropic added Claude Code to Slack, letting developers tag Claude to spin up a full coding session. Claude Tag extends that agent loop to a broader set of tasks, allowing Claude to live in the channel full-time, with tasks scheduled to run over hours or days. Where administrators grant access, Claude can draw on information from other channels. Claude Tag gives Claude its own identity in the workspace, with its own accounts for every connected tool. If “ambient” behavior is enabled, Claude monitors conversations and flags things without being tagged. Administrators can set a ceiling on how many tokens each channel’s Claude is allowed to spend. There is one Claude per channel, shared by everyone in it.
