Over 30 student activists occupied the Gallup Building in Washington DC on Monday afternoon, targeting a public-facing lobbying office belonging to ChatGPT developer OpenAI. The demonstrators unfurled a banner reading “Stop Stealing Our Future” and held signs with messages like “OpenAI bought my Senator.” The two-hour demonstration ended when police arrested 13 protestors for “unlawful entry,” according to an incident report from the Metropolitan Police Department.
