Using a personal ChatGPT account on the $20 a month Plus plan with GPT-5.6 Sol and intelligence set to "High," the reporter received three destination options, a source code download link, and an email draft in nine minutes and 47 seconds. The destinations—Santa Ynez Valley, South Lake Tahoe, and Todos Santos—matched the reporter's interests. After asking for plain-language instructions due to zero technical skills, the reporter deployed a fully functioning website in under two hours, allowing friends to vote on destinations. The experiment demonstrated that vibe coding, or building custom apps without learning to code, is accessible to non-coders.
