How XPeng’s Robotaxi Pilot And Physical AI Push At XPeng (XPEV) Has C…

XPENG recently began employee testing of its Robotaxi platform in Guangzhou, integrating its in-house Turing AI chip, VLA2.0 model, and X-Mind world modeling into a full ride-hailing and autonomous dispatch service chain. This milestone, alongside strong second-quarter deliveries and an expanded safety partnership with Autoliv, highlights XPENG’s push to turn its Physical AI and autonomous driving research into real-world smart mobility services across multiple regions. The Robotaxi employee trials in Guangzhou speak directly to the thesis that heavy AI and autonomy spending can support a profitable smart mobility platform, but they do not remove the near term overhang of continued losses and high cash needs. The expanded cooperation with Autoliv ties XPENG’s Physical AI ambitions to globally recognized safety expertise, which matters for any future Robotaxi or L4 rollout, especially as XPeng explores services in Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. XPeng's narrative projects CN¥137.4 billion revenue and CN¥6.4 billion earnings by 2028, and forecasts yield a $28.16 fair value, a 116% upside to its current price. The most bearish analysts assumed only 13.9 percent annual revenue growth to CN¥109,200,000,000 and thin 0.2 percent margins by 2029.
