Anthropic has appointed Anand Raisinghani as Head of Industries, India, as the Claude maker strengthens its enterprise AI push in the country. Raisinghani confirmed the move in a LinkedIn post, while Irina Ghose, Managing Director, India at Anthropic, separately welcomed him to the company. Noting that Indian enterprises are now adopting AI at scale, Raisinghani said, "Early days for us here, and a lot to build." He joins Anthropic following his stint with Pine Labs-owned fintech infrastructure company Setu, where he joined as CEO in April 2024 and most recently served as President and Chief Business Officer. A regulatory filing by Pine Labs said Raisinghani ceased to hold the position at the close of business on July 17, 2026, after resigning. Before Setu, he held senior roles at SAP India, and his career has also included roles at Equifax, IBM and Wipro. His combination of enterprise technology and financial services experience is relevant as Anthropic expands the use of Claude among large organisations, including regulated industries. The appointment comes as Anthropic builds out its India presence, having appointed former Microsoft India executive Irina Ghose as Managing Director earlier this year and opened its Bengaluru office, its second in Asia after Tokyo. The company recently announced plans to provide in-country inference for Claude in India through Amazon Bedrock.
