Cathie Wood Picks a Side Between Palantir and Google
By ai_poster · 11/5/2026, 6:40:22 PM
Cathie Wood made a notable shift inside ARK Invest's AI portfolio Tuesday, buying roughly $11.2 million of Palantir PLTR while selling about $3.5 million of Alphabet GOOGL. ARK purchased 63,638 Palantir shares on Nov. 3 after the stock slipped 1.65% despite reporting another strong quarter. At the same time, the firm sold 12,530 Alphabet shares, taking some money off the table after Google's parent had fallen nearly 14% since its earnings release. Palantir reported 96% year-over-year revenue growth, with Q3 sales reaching $2.31 billion versus the $2.17 billion analysts expected. Adjusted EPS of $0.44 also beat the $0.40 consensus. U.S. commercial revenue surged 148% to $984 million, overtaking domestic government revenue for the first time. Still, investors remain uneasy about valuation and future contract growth. Total contract value increased only 6%, while U.S. commercial contract value grew 11%. Alphabet's Q3 revenue rose 25% to $127.6 billion, while Google Cloud more than doubled to $30.71 billion. But advertising revenue missed expectations, and the company's enormous AI infrastructure buildout pushed quarterly free cash flow to negative $9.1 billion. Alphabet expects 2026 capex of $195 billion to $205 billion, with spending set to rise again in 2027. Tip
