On June 24, CERT-In, India's cybersecurity team, flagged a critical vulnerability in Microsoft 365 Copilot, the AI tool in Word, Excel, and Teams, caused by missing authentication in a key function that could let hackers access user files. CERT-In urged all individual users and organizations to install Microsoft's latest security updates immediately by opening any Microsoft 365 app, navigating to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now, and ensuring all devices are updated to protect sensitive data from this serious flaw.
