AI search means people getting answers directly from an AI system rather than clicking through to a website, with Google’s AI Overviews sitting above traditional results for many searches and tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity used as a research starting point, a trend accelerated by the UAE’s high mobile usage. Ranking well and being cited by an AI assistant are related but separate outcomes, since AI systems also weigh how clearly a page states facts near the top, whether content answers a question directly, how often the business is mentioned elsewhere online, whether structured data is present, and how consistent its information is across the web. A five-point check for AI visibility includes clear, direct answers near the top; question-shaped headings and genuine FAQs; mentions beyond the business’s own website; structured data (schema markup); and consistent, up-to-date information.
