LG Uplus announced on the 24th that it signed a strategic business agreement with customer service and CRM specialist Bloom AI to help small and midsize companies adopt AI-based call centers. The signing ceremony was held on the 23rd at LG Uplus' Yongsan headquarters in Seoul, with Enterprise Division Head Kwon Yong-hyun of LG Uplus and Co-CEO Park Jin-Young of Bloom AI in attendance. The two companies plan to link LG Uplus' telecom infrastructure and AICC technology with Bloom AI's consulting platform and customer management solutions to boost consultation automation and customer response efficiency. Bloom AI provides services such as Happytalk, Callbridge, Luna M Kakao Alimtalk, and Smart Message PLUS to about 40,000 small and midsize client companies. LG Uplus plans to integrate AI features such as speech recognition, large language models, and Text-to-Speech (TTS) into these services. The collaboration targets small and midsize companies burdened by AICC setup expense and a lack of experts. The companies will also connect LG Uplus' next-generation messaging service RCS to Bloom AI's Smart Message PLUS. LG Uplus will strengthen security based on a sovereign cloud and plans to advance customized AI services using LG AI Research Institute's Generative AI "EXAONE" and the enterprise AI platform "AIX Enterprise."
