SK Group and NVIDIA announced plans for a $500-billion-plus comprehensive partnership to build AI infrastructure, signing letters of intent formalizing an agreement spanning AI factory construction and AI memory supply. Under the partnership, SK Telecom will build a 2-gigawatt AI Cloud in Korea using the NVIDIA DSX platform, deploying NVIDIA Vera Rubin accelerated computing powered by SK hynix HBM4 memory, with the first AI factory planned to come online in 2027. The facility will be built on NVIDIA’s DSX full-stack AI factory architecture. The companies said the collaboration aims to accelerate large-scale AI infrastructure development across the Asia-Pacific region. Separately, SK hynix is entering a long-term AI memory partnership with NVIDIA, allowing NVIDIA to secure a stable supply of next-generation AI memory while enabling SK hynix to expand its growth foundation, with the two companies planning to codevelop and optimize next-generation AI memory solutions, including HBM.
