Michael Saylor Says Bitcoin Will Return 30% a Year, and ChatGPT Helpe…
By ai_poster · 8/6/2026, 4:33:14 PM
Michael Saylor, in a London podcast interview with Steven Bartlett on *The Diary of a CEO* in the first week of August 2026, argued that cash is a guaranteed losing asset, engineered to lose roughly 7% of its purchasing power every year. He called Bitcoin "digital capital," noting it has compounded at about 33% annually over the past six years and predicting it will keep compounding at roughly 30% for another two decades. Saylor contrasted cash, which he said can be confiscated, requires bank permission, and may involve seven different banks for cross-border moves, with Bitcoin as a bearer asset movable "from here to anywhere in cyberspace in a few seconds." He cited his real estate history: one acre of Miami Beach waterfront land sold for $10,000 roughly a century ago and is now worth $10 to $20 million, a 1,000x increase in nominal dollars. He stated most other currencies lose roughly 14% per year and collapse in about 30 years, with the average fiat currency dying in about 29 years. The interview also covered STRK, a $15 billion security he claims he designed with ChatGPT, and served as a defense of a recent Bitcoin sale that shook his company's investor base.
