Oura publicly filed paperwork for its initial public offering, aiming to raise upwards of $2.2 billion via the sale of 50 million shares priced between $40 and $44. The company’s revenue in the nine months ending June 30 was $1.2 billion, up from $697 million in the same period last year, while it saw a net loss of $924 million. Oura said it sold 4.1 million Oura Rings in that span, up from 1.8 million in the same period last year. Separately, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang pushed back against AI doomsday talk in an interview with CBS News on Sunday, after Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei penned an essay calling for a slowdown in the development of frontier AI systems. Huang called fears that AI will kill all humans “completely false,” saying “it is not grounded on facts; it’s not grounded on science,” while also saying AI researchers’ concerns about building safe products aren’t wrong.
