Meta has made its Muse Voice feature available to all users in the US, allowing people to talk to its AI assistant through voice and video calls. The assistant was first revealed at Meta Connect in September and reportedly uses two systems, Muse Realtime Avatar and Muse Realtime Voice, which work together to create a digital character that can speak and respond during a live chat. Users can ask questions, share ideas, and give tasks without typing. Its digital character, Jolly, can be changed into a person, an animal, or any character users want, and the avatar uses facial expressions and hand movements to make chats feel more natural, though it cannot actually see a user and only listens to what they say. Meta said Muse AI will work on smartphones and the web and plans to bring it to its AI Glasses and a small wearable device called Muse Charm before the end of 2026. The article notes that natural conversations bring privacy concerns, since people often overshare personal details with AI, and that clear privacy rules will be important as these tools become more common.
