OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said Wednesday that the company’s rogue model “could” have hacked more companies than is publicly known and that it’s in “everyone’s interest” to “pace” artificial intelligence development. Altman held meetings with several senators during a visit to Capitol Hill Wednesday, and also answered reporters’ questions on topics including open source AI, the recent cybersecurity incident, and federal AI regulation.
