While the industry competes over the smartest model, largest GPU cluster, or lowest inference cost, something harder to reproduce accumulates: everything the systems know about users. For telecom, this matters because an industry that spent twenty years making itself invisible now watches software companies build deeply personal digital relationships with its customers. The emotion sits entirely on the human side; the machine need not care. What changes is context—an AI talked to for years already knows the background, remembers last time, and understands references.
