How to use Gemini to plan your next summer vacation - in minutes

A ZDNET contributor, Elyse Betters Picaro, successfully used Gemini to build a "starter doc" itinerary for a family trip to Disney World. The prompt requested a Disney World itinerary for late August, flight details from Fort Covington, NY including the closest and cheapest airports, Airbnb suggestions for eight people near Disney World with a pool, and visits to the beach and Kennedy Space Center. Betters Picaro tested this with Auto Browse in February. The author reran the prompt in Gemini 3.5 in Chrome, which created a new Google Doc and returned a summary. Gemini did not open a tab for Airbnb, possibly because the author was not logged into their account. The information compiled was accurate, reliable, and useful, including a flight table imported from Google Flights. The author double-checked specifics like ticket and time info for Kennedy Space Center. Running the prompt in both Thinking and Flash modes produced fairly similar docs with the same core information.
