Robot AI software company Enigma has raised $71 million in seed funding, as reported by SiliconANGLE on July 27 local time. The funding round was co-led by Index Ventures and Ribbit Capital, with participation from Conviction Partners, and employees from Google DeepMind, Anthropic and OpenAI joined as angel investors. Enigma is developing a foundation model that can be applied to various robots using only small amounts of training data. The company explained that its model can run on almost any robot and typically needs far less training data than usual when adapted to a new machine. Enigma plans to use the funds to hire engineers and secure computing resources.
