Vibe coding startup Replit raised $400 million in funding, lifting its valuation to $9 billion. The round was led by returning investor Georgian Partners, with participation from G Squared, Prysm Capital, Coatue, Andreessen Horowitz, Craft Ventures, Y Combinator, Accenture Ventures, Okta Ventures, and Databricks Ventures. Backers also included former basketball player Shaquille O’Neal and American actor and musician Jared Leto. Founder and CEO Amjad Masad said the funding will help scale the company’s ambition and expand beyond coding into AI systems. The new capital will be used to speed up product development, deepen enterprise capabilities, expand integrations, and advance agent-driven software creation. Replit is used by 85% of the Fortune 500 companies. The platform’s annual recurring revenue has jumped from $2.8 million to $150 million, supported by a global user base of 40 million. This latest round follows a $250 million funding round in September that valued the startup at $3 billion. The company told Forbes it hopes to reach $1 billion in annual recurring revenue by the end of 2026. Masad noted that Replit is investing heavily in global expansion, particularly in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, and described India as the company’s second-largest market by builder count.
