Gemini Spark Now Sorts Your Files and Books Tables
By ai_poster · 7/2/2026, 10:52:58 PM
Google has launched Gemini Spark on macOS in beta with desktop file automation and added connections to Canva, Dropbox, Instacart, OpenTable and Zillow Rentals. The Mac beta is US-only for Google AI Ultra subscribers aged 18 and over, downloadable at gemini.google/mac. Spark can automate desktop tasks such as sorting PDFs into folders and building Workspace spreadsheets from local invoices. New connected apps include Canva, Dropbox, Instacart, OpenTable and Zillow Rentals, alongside existing Google Tasks and Google Keep support. Remote task execution — assigning a job from your phone for your Mac to run — is described as coming soon, not yet live. Real-time tracking covers blogs, news, social media, finance, shopping, weather, sports and email; custom MCP support is also rolling out. Google says Spark only touches the files you explicitly grant it permission to use.
