This Week: Enterprise AI Starts Working the Night Shift
By ai_poster · 11/3/2026, 6:18:21 PM
OpenAI, Oracle and ServiceNow want ChatGPT to become a governed front door to enterprise workflows, while Microsoft is building Copilot into a persistent work companion and Google is making Gemini output easier to verify through cell-level citations. OpenAI’s partnerships with Oracle and ServiceNow, announced on 27 and 28 October respectively, aim to create a conversational layer across enterprise systems. With ServiceNow, users will be able to bring business context and workflow actions into ChatGPT, including finding similar IT incidents, assessing change risk and updating a ServiceNow record from the same conversation, with planned work across application development, cybersecurity and voice-driven AI governance. Oracle’s AI Workspace is being developed to connect ChatGPT with Oracle applications, enterprise data and cloud services for workflows in areas such as finance, procurement and planning; Oracle says its recruiting team has cut research preparation from two-to-four days to 15–20 minutes, while reporting 130,000 active ChatGPT users and more than 95,000 active Codex users. ServiceNow says its Action Fabric will apply an organisation’s existing business rules and permissions, and Oracle says its Workspace will retain the governance, approvals and controls required for enterprise operations.
