AWS has broken ground on a new data centre in Hyderabad, expanding its AWS Asia Pacific (Hyderabad) Region to meet growing AI and cloud demand in India. The facility is part of Amazon's planned $21 billion cloud infrastructure investment in India from 2026 to 2030, within a broader $48 billion commitment. By end of 2025, Amazon had already invested over $1.3 billion in the Hyderabad region. AWS has also trained 250 students locally, hiring 110 into its operations team.
